Orlando, Florida – Sept. 6, 2023 — Bridge Senior Living today announced the rebranding of its memory care neighborhoods, each now called “Lilac Trace.” The announcement coincides with World Alzheimer’s Month, an international initiative run by Alzheimer’s Disease International that raises awareness of Alzheimer’s and dementia.
Lilac Trace, so named for the lilac’s purple shade that is a symbol of Alzheimer’s Awareness, is reminiscent of memory gardens that have been shown to help those with the disease heal the body and mind. The word “trace” directly reflects Bridge Senior Living’s individualized approach to Memory Care, underscoring the path our caregivers walk with each Memory Care resident throughout their journey.

Lilac Trace’s individualized approach to care was initially inspired by the best-selling book Meet Me Where I Am by memory care expert Mary Ann Drummond. This philosophy emphasizes the importance of connecting residents to their pasts while celebrating their present point of view at any moment throughout the day.
